Friday
Check in first
Drop your bags before you do anything else. Ant Street Inn is the downtown pick, fifteen rooms in a building from 1899, walking distance to every restaurant and bar on this list. It is the easiest place to put parents, grandparents, and anybody who does not want to drive after dinner.
If your group is bigger or you want a house with a kitchen and a porch, Brenham has a deep bench of vacation rentals and bed and breakfasts. Book the whole wedding party into one house and let the group text sort itself out.
Ice cream before dinner, obviously
Head out to Blue Bell Creameries and get scoops for a dollar. A dollar. Watch the line run from the observation deck, work through as many flavors as your dignity allows, and grab something from the Country Store on your way out. Check the hours before you go, since the parlor keeps shorter days on weekends.
Cocktails, then dinner
Start at Floyd's Lounge on South Baylor. Cocktails, wine, a good patio, and the kind of room where a group of eight can actually hear each other.

End at HSF
HSF Biergarten has the biggest Texas craft beer selection in the county, live music most weekends, an indoor room and an outdoor one, and it is dog friendly. It is the natural last stop, and it is where your out of town guests will end up meeting each other.
Saturday
Morning, then shop
Get breakfast downtown, then walk. Most shops open around ten and close at five, so the morning is the window.
Ballad of the Bird Dog, a design-forward general goods store with small batch American-made products, plus three shop dogs and a coffee bar inside.
Hermann Furniture, the oldest family owned furniture store in Texas, going since 1876, two stories and an antique mall attached.

Lunch and a second ice cream
Must Be Heaven is the classic sandwich shop, plus pie, plus a soda fountain. Then walk over to Más Nieve on East Main for rolled ice cream made in front of you. Yes, this is your second ice cream in eighteen hours. That is the point of coming to the Ice Cream Capital of Texas.
Then get ready
Back to the hotel or the house, and the rest of the day belongs to the wedding. Brenham and Washington County have a long list of wedding and event venues if you are still deciding where the ceremony happens.
If you brought kids, or you have people who need an off-ramp
Peeka Ranch in Burton, fifteen miles west, is sixty acres and more than a hundred alpacas. You feed them. Appointment only, so call ahead.
The Blue Bell Aquatic Center has indoor and outdoor pools, slides, and a splash pad, and it costs about as much as a sandwich. It buys you three hours of quiet.
The Brenham Heritage Museum is always an interesting stop with changing exhibits.
Sunday
Coffee and pastries
Mescalito Coffee shares a building with Ballad of the Bird Dog on East Alamo. They roast in Brenham. Get a pastry, sit on the porch, and let everybody trickle in.
Then the wineries
Washington County has a real wine trail, and Chapelton Vineyards is a good place to start. Browse the rest of the wineries and breweries before your guests point their cars back toward Houston.
